Black & Cream Bold Gingham Wool Coat with Velvet Details

A mid-length wool coat in bold black-and-cream gingham, rooted in the look of British school dress and country cloth. The waist is set high, with pockets aligned to underline the line of the body, and the skirt falls in a gentle A-line.

The collar takes the straight, boyish shape of a private-school blazer and is edged in black velvet. Matching velvet trims the sleeves, a quiet nod to the coats later embraced by Teddy Boys. Large buttons, covered by hand in the Paris atelier, close the front.

A recurring silhouette in the collection, it pairs the discipline of traditional tailoring with the softer proportions of childhood dress.
